Meet With an Advisor

Our professional staff works closely with students to help find the right program to fit individuals' specific situations. You can meet with them through their drop-in hours or by appointment.

Our knowledgeable student interns can tell you everything you need to know about our programs and your education abroad opportunities, either in person, by phone or by email (eacucd@ucdavis.edu). Feel free to contact the student staff to learn more about your options at the EAC, or to hear some great stories about their abroad experiences!

Additionally, every day at the EAC we hold our First Steps Workshop that covers all aspects of studying abroad. This workshop is not required but it is highly recommended and will allow you to narrow your choices. Check out the First Steps website for a schedule.

Drop-in Hours

Each day Quarter Abroad advisors hold open drop-in hours to answer brief questions. If you have more in-depth questions we recommend that you make an appointment to meet with an advisor.

  • QA drop-in hours: Monday through Thursday from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

Before making an appointment:

Each advisor coordinates programs in specific countries and as such you need to have a particular country or program in mind in order for us to make an appointment with the appropriate advisor.

Advising sessions are opportunities to discuss in-depth the academics, finances, housing and other aspects of individual programs. The more research you do in advance the more our advisors can help you.

How to make an appointment:

You can call the Education Abroad Center (530) 297-4633 or email at quarterabroad@ucdavis.edu. Appointments should be made at least a day in advance and are generally scheduled between 9 a.m.- 3:30 p.m. in 30 minute blocks.

If you request an appointment through email please provide the following information:

Full name, Phone number, Country of interest, and times and days of availability.
