Passport Information

A scanned color image of the photo and signature pages of your valid passport must be submitted online as part of your application. You will be prompted to submit this image once you have completed the online application. If you do not have access to a scanner, please feel free to come by the EAC and we will assist you. Please make sure that your passport is valid and will remain valid for 6 months after your departure date. Need step by step directions on how to submit your scanned passport? Click here.

Don't have a passport???

That's ok! Please scan an image of your receipt from the post office showing that you paid the passport fees in lieu of the passport itself. When you receive your passport, you must update the image by logging back into your online application and uploading a scan of your new passport. For more information on getting a passport, please visit the U.S. State Department’s website at http://www.state.gov/.

Note: If you are applying for the Cuba Program, you must submit a scanned image of your valid passport (NOT a passport application) as part of your application or it will be considered incomplete- No exceptions.

If you are a non-U.S. citizen:

You must immediately contact the consulate of the country in which you intend to study to determine any specific requirements, which vary depending on the country of your citizenship. It is your responsibility to obtain any visas that you will require to participate on the Quarter Abroad program. You may find the nearest consulate by searching the Embassy.org Web site.
