If you need to withdraw from a Quarter Abroad program prior to its commencement, you must complete an official Withdrawal Form. You may request the form via email by contacting quarterabroad@ucdavis.edu. Be sure to provide a statement of your reason(s) for cancellation and any available supporting documentation (medical forms, police reports, etc). Please be aware that you are also responsible for any additional cost (flights, etc.) that you may incur by enrolling in a Quarter Abroad Program.
If you fail to officially cancel from the program (by submitting the required Withdrawal Form), you will be charged all program fees. Many of our programs have waiting lists, and by failing to withdraw, you may be denying someone else the opportunity to study abroad. There are no refunds for non-attendance. The cancellation schedule is outlined below.
Refund Schedule: (last day to withdraw without penalty= 91 days before start of program)
| Items charged to your student's account | Application deadline until 91 Days before start of program | 90-61 Days before start of program | 60-51 Days before start of program | 50-41 Days before start of program | 40-0 Days before start of program |

If you withdraw from UCD QA while abroad, you will be responsible for all expenses incurred during your stay. You will be expected to pay all in-country bills, including phone bills, rent, overdue books, etc. If you have loans through Financial Aid, you may be asked to start paying them immediately.
Failure to resolve any outstanding financial obligations abroad may result in a hold on your future registration and may impose other consequences. Unpaid bills may compromise UCD QA and your standing with the University of California, Davis!
