Global Learning Hub Student Assistants

As a Student Assistant in the Global Learning Hub at UC Davis, you will help generate interest and enthusiasm about global opportunities at UC Davis, including study abroad, internships, research and much more. In this role, you will contribute to key aspects of the student experience—from initial engagement to application support to the predeparture process—while building valuable skills in leadership, communication, customer service, organization, and advising within a professional and collaborative environment.

Student Assistants work within two specialized teams that support the Global Learning Hub’s daily operations and student services:

Front Desk Team: The first point of contact, offering assistance and guidance to visitors of the Global Learning Hub office.

UCEAP Team: Dedicated to providing support for students participating in the University of California Education Abroad Program (UCEAP).

Global Learning Hub – Peer Ambassadors

As a Peer Ambassador in the Global Learning Hub at UC Davis, you will  generate interest and enthusiasm about global learning opportunities at UC Davis, including study abroad, internships, research and much more. You will also serve as a resource to Services for International Students and Scholars by assisting with events, programs, and orientation that provide a welcoming and inclusive experience for international undergraduate students. You will develop programming to support the Global Engagement Opportunity–Living Learning Community (GEO-LLC), a campus housing community for international, transnational and domestic students. In this role, you will gain leadership experience, meet students from around the world, and build career-readiness skills for the global workforce.

Global Learning Hub – Global Guides

As a Global Guide in the Global Learning hub at UC Davis, you will connect fellow UC Davis students with exciting global opportunities on campus, in the community, and around the world. In this paid, part-time role, you’ll promote study abroad, internships, and other global opportunities by connecting directly with your peers through events, presentations, and outreach. You’ll gain hands-on experience in public speaking, marketing, and student engagement while developing leadership and cross-cultural communication skills. If you’re passionate about global learning and enjoy helping others explore new opportunities, this is a great way to get involved and grow professionally.

Global Affairs Student Assistants
