Grad and Postdoc Certificate Series: Exploring DEI to Contribute to an Inclusive Workplace

Diversity Abroad’s Global Ambassadors Program

​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​This program is for students from diverse backgrounds planning to study, intern, volunteer or teach abroad in fall 2024. Global Ambassadors serve as correspondents, sharing their experiences to motivate others to go abroad. Students receive a $1,000 stipend and a platform to share their stories. Apply. Zhi-Xing China: U.S.-China University Student Leaders Academy

​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​This opportunity aims to foster connections between young leaders from the United States and China. This fellowship program, conducted in English, selects college students from the U.S. and pairs them with Chinese students to carry out social research activities in China over a period of two weeks. Become an Empower Yolo Peer Counselor

​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​Volunteer with Empower Yolo to support survivors of sexual assault and domestic violence. Join the spring volunteer training program to become a certified peer counselor. UC Davis Global Impact Fellows Program

​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​The Global Impact Fellows Program is a one-year commitment to leading or assisting a student-led initiative that addresses a global+local issue where students can hone project management, leadership and specific technical skills in an environment where they have real autonomy. AmeriCorps Volunteers in Service to America (VISTA) Program

​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​Campus Compact VISTA members serve full-time (35 hours/week) for one year on college campuses or affiliated nonprofits around the country, building capacity for critical, anti-poverty programs that address our community’s top priorities in basic needs, education and environmental health. Positions are available across the U.S. for summer 2024.

Sacramento Valley College Corps

​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​Sacramento Valley College Corps is a program dedicated to engaging college students in meaningful service to build leadership and civic responsibility. Fellows serve 450 hours in an area of K-12 education, food insecurity or climate action over the academic year. The application for the 2024-25 College Corps at UC Davis is now open.

St. Andrews Study Abroad Award

​​​​​​​​​​​​​​The St. Andrews Study Abroad Award will meet unmet needs up to $7,000 for UC Davis students studying abroad through UCEAP at the University of St. Andrews in Scotland. Get more information about the award and apply online.

Diverse International Women of Color (DIWC) Study Abroad Scholarship

​​​​​​​​​​​​​​The DIWC Study Abroad Scholarship is intended to assist women of color who are exceptional in their studies and need financial assistance for in-person study abroad programs for summer 2024. Apply. Deadline: April 15.

APRU Virtual Global Health Case Competition

​​​​​​​​​​​​​​Registration is now open for the APRU Virtual Global Health Case Competition. Compete for a chance at the $1,000 prize! The challenge: using technology to improve adherence to diabetes treatment. Teams create a 10-minute video outlining their solution. Register. Deadline: April 19.

William D. Clarke Sr. Diplomatic Security Fellowship

​​​​​​​​​​​​​​The Clarke Fellowship provides academic funding for a two-year master’s degree while preparing fellows to enter the Foreign Service as a Diplomatic Security Service (DSS) Special Agent. Candidates must be U.S. citizens aged 19-32 with GPAs of 3.2 or greater who are planning to enter two-year full-time master’s programs in the U.S. in fall 2025. Apply. Deadline: April 29.

Southwest ¡Lánzate!/Take Off! Higher Education Travel Award

​​​​​​​​​​​​​​This national initiative will award roundtrip airline tickets to Hispanic students pursuing higher education (undergraduate and graduate) to help them stay connected with their families and communities. Students currently enrolled in a two- or four-year college or university at least 200 miles from their home may be eligible. Deadline: April 26.

Rhodes Scholarship at the University of Oxford in England

​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​The Rhodes Scholarship is a fully funded opportunity to pursue a master’s or doctoral program at the University of Oxford in England for one to three years. Applicants must have a cumulative GPA of 3.7 or greater, be ages 18-27 and have completed a bachelor’s degree by summer 2024. Pre-application Deadline: June 30.

University of California Education Abroad Program (UCEAP)

​​​​​​​​​​​​​​Winter and Spring 2025 UCEAP program enrollment is now open, with limited capacity Spring 2025 programs opening on April 15, 2024. UCEAP programs offer UC credit and financial aid. Ukrainian Culture and the War Response: Ideas, Memories, Hopes

​​​​​​​​​​​​​​April 18, 5–6:30 p.m., 912 Sproul. Lecture by Prof. Vitaly Chernetsky (Univ. of Kansas). This talk helps us gain greater understanding of both the scale of Russia’s attack on Ukraine’s culture and identity and of Ukraine’s resistance, exploring examples from the cultural sphere, including visual art, literature and film.

Global Career Development Series: Peace Corps Info Session + Drop-In Advising

Screening of The Climate Restorers—Leading the Way Back to Our Future

This is a global documentary series exploring climate and ecosystem restoration, returning the climate to a state in which all life can thrive. Get tickets.

Knight-Hennessy Scholars Info Session

​​​​​​​​​​​​​​April 29, 4 p.m., International Center 3119. Learn about the Knight-Hennessy Scholars at Stanford University, a multidisciplinary, multicultural graduate scholarship program. Each Knight-Hennessy scholar receives up to three years of financial support to pursue graduate studies while participating in experiences that prepare scholars to be leaders who address complex challenges facing the world.
