There is still time to enroll in a UC Davis Summer or Quarter Abroad program for 2024. Programs fill on a first-completed, first-reserved basis. Financial aid applies and scholarships are available. To start your enrollment, create an account today.
New Grant Available—Building Sustainable Water Treatment Systems
A new $50,000 grant is available for the Summer Abroad Building Sustainable Water Treatment Systems program in Monterrey, Mexico! The first 10 students to enroll will receive up to $5,000 toward their Accommodations and Services Abroad Fee, group flight (for the program dates) and on-site meals. No application required.
New Grant Available—Latinx Health Internship in Oaxaca
A new $45,000 grant is available for the Quarter Abroad Latinx Health Internship in Oaxaca program! Submit your application by March 29, at 5 p.m. to be considered for an award of $4,500. Quarter Abroad enrollment is open through April 11.
University of California Education Abroad Program (UCEAP)
2024-25 UCEAP enrollment is open. Application dates and deadlines vary by program, with most applications closing in March. Applications for limited capacity spring 2025 programs open on April 1, 2024. UCEAP programs offer UC credit and financial aid, and options include immersion, internships, language and culture and special focus. Find a program.
Global Leadership, Internships, and Research
UC Davis Graduate Peer Support Program
This program is open for applications for mentors and mentees for spring quarter 2024. The program aims to increase UC Davis graduate students' access to social support by facilitating a new peer-to-peer mentorship program. Deadline: March 14.
UC Davis Widening Circles—Global Social Impact Program
June 24–August 23. The program combines an online learning community focused on ethical global engagement and social change with a social impact internship (optional). Funding is available for the program fee and travel expenses for the internship. Open to UC Davis undergraduate and graduate students. Register for the program and complete our funding application. Deadline: March 15.
APRU SDG Education for Global Citizenship 2024 Program
June 1–August 30. The 2024 APRU SDG Education for Global Citizenship program offers an intercultural, transdisciplinary, and interactive hybrid program for undergraduate and master’s students under the umbrella theme of “Shaping the Future of Health & Wellbeing.” Deadline: March 15.
Grad and Postdoc Certificate Series: Exploring DEI to Contribute to an Inclusive Workplace
April 15–May 13. This career enhancement certificate is open to graduate students and postdocs. Participants will be provided insights from late-career professionals on how to improve leadership skills—with emphasis on diversity, equity and inclusion—for success in intercultural work environments. Register. Deadline: March 22.
Global Affairs UN Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs) Internship
The Global Affairs UN SDGs Internship provides an opportunity during spring quarter 2024 for UC Davis undergraduate students to actively contribute to campus engagement on the SDGs, gaining knowledge of organizational strategy, campus and external coordination, and communications and analytical skills to support this global agenda. Deadline: April 5.
Exito: CIA Career Exploration Boot-Camp
June 3–7. The Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities and the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) are accepting applications for “Exito: CIA Career Exploration Boot-Camp,” a four-day career exploration event for first- and second-year college students held in Washington, D.C. Falling Walls Lab San Francisco
April 17. Falling Walls Lab is for students and early-career professionals who are creators, innovators, trailblazers and visionaries. Pitch your idea in three minutes, showcasing a breakthrough that creates a positive impact on science and society. Win a trip to the global Falling Walls Lab finale in Berlin, Germany. Apply. Teach English in Spain
October 2024–May 2025. The North American Language and Culture Assistants Program offers grants and medical insurance to American college students and graduates who are native English speakers, with the opportunity to be an English teaching assistant in elementary and secondary schools. 2024 Summer School on the Economics of Migration
September 9–12. Join the 3rd Summer School on the Economics of Migration, an opportunity for first-time Ph.D. students in economics and related quantitative social sciences. Opportunities for participants to learn from faculty on the frontier of research as well as present their research ideas/draft. Apply. Deadline: April 15.
Sacramento Valley College Corps
Sacramento Valley College Corps is a program dedicated to engaging college students in meaningful service to build leadership and civic responsibility. UC Davis Global Grad Grants
These grants provide $2,000 funding plus pre-departure support for UC Davis graduate or professional students seeking to participate in a globally-focused social impact program or globally-focused research over the summer. Students can choose between two funding tracks: Social Impact or Research. Deadline: March 15.
UC Davis Eivind G. Lange '77 and Mary G. Puma Graduate Fellowship
This fellowship supports graduate students conducting research in Chile in partnership with UC Davis Chile Life Sciences Innovation Center. Awards amount up to $4,000. Deadline: March 15.
Phi Kappa Phi Scholarship for Study Abroad
Phi Kappa Phi Study Abroad Grants provide $1,000 to help support undergraduates as they seek knowledge and experience in their academic fields by studying abroad. Applicants do not have to be society members, but must attend an institution with an active Phi Kappa Phi chapter. Apply. Deadline: March 15.
U.S.–Japan Bridging Foundation Scholarships for Study Abroad
The U.S.–Japan Bridging Foundation offers scholarships to undergrads in all majors to study in Japan in fall 2024, spring 2025 or the 2024-25 academic year. Japanese language study is not a prerequisite. Applicants must be U.S. citizens who will study in Japan for at least three months and earn academic credit. Apply. Deadline: March 15.
Eisenhower Global Scholars
Eisenhower Global Scholars is an opportunity to spend the entire 2024-25 academic year of postgraduate study leading to a master's degree in public policy at the University of Oxford or international relations at the IE University in Madrid. All courses are in English. Deadline: March 22.
The Obama-Chesky Voyager Scholarship for Public Service
Voyager Scholarships gives college students who plan to pursue a career in public service up to $50,000 in financial aid to alleviate the burden of college debt, meaningful travel experiences to expand their horizons, and a network of mentors and leaders to support them. Apply. Deadline: March 27.
National Institutes of Health Undergraduate Scholarship Program
This program offers competitive scholarships to students from disadvantaged backgrounds who are committed to careers in biomedical, behavioral and social science health-related research. The program provides up to $20,000 per academic year for tuition, educational and reasonable living expenses. Deadline: March 29.
Chicana/Latina Foundation Scholarships
The Chicana Latina Foundation awards $1,500 merit-based scholarships to Latina college students. Applicants must be women of Chicana/Latina heritage, have lived in an eligible Northern California county for two years, be enrolled full-time and have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or greater. Apply. Deadline: March 31.
Freeman–ASIA Scholarship
This award supports undergraduate students with financial need to study abroad in East or Southeast Asia. Applicants must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents, demonstrate financial need through FAFSA, have a minimum 2.8 GPA, and have little or no previous experience in the study abroad country. Deadline: April 2.
Experiential Learning Summer Grant
This grant provides money for UC Davis undergraduate students participating in unpaid experiential learning (internships, undergraduate research, community service, etc.). If you are participating in one of these experiences and are in need of financial support, please consider applying. Apply. Deadline: April 4.
Samvid Scholars
This program provides $50,000 annually for two years as well as leadership development programming for future leaders and changemakers to pursue graduate education. Applicants must be first-year graduate students in 2024-25 at a university in the U.S. Deadline: April 8.
Diverse International Women of Color (DIWC) Study Abroad Scholarship
The DIWC Study Abroad Scholarship is intended to assist women of color who are exceptional in their studies and in need of financial assistance for in-person study abroad programs for summer 2024. Apply. Deadline: April 15.
William D. Clarke Sr. Diplomatic Security Fellowship
The Clarke Fellowship provides academic funding for a two-year master’s degree while preparing fellows to enter the Foreign Service as a Diplomatic Security Service (DSS) Special Agent. Candidates must be U.S. citizens aged 19-32 with GPAs of 3.2 or greater who are planning to enter two-year full-time master’s programs in the U.S. in fall 2025. Apply. Deadline: April 29.

Undergraduate Research, Scholarship and Creative Activities Conference
April 26–27. Over 800 UC Davis undergraduates in all academic fields will present their research, which has been conducted under the supervision and mentorship of UC Davis faculty. The event is free and open to the public.
