Bio

Privet (hello) potential study abroad participants!

Living and studying abroad is an incredible and unique experience that everyone should take advantage of. Studying and working abroad has had such an impact on my life that I’ve now made my career out of working in international education. I am an alumna of UC Berkeley where I received my bachelor's degree in Mass Communications and studied abroad in London on the UC Education Abroad Program (UCEAP). A few years later, I served as a Peace Corps volunteer in Kyrgyzstan, a small former Soviet Republic. As a Peace Corps volunteer, I taught English at a local university while learning Russian and living with a Russian family. After returning to the states, I received a master’s degree in International Policy Studies from Monterey Institute of International Studies and soon went back to Kyrgyzstan to manage a women’s micro-credit program for Winrock International and intern with Mercy Corps. After working in Washington D.C. for five years, where I implemented study abroad programs in Africa, Turkey and Asia, I recently returned to the Bay Area to work as a Program Coordinator and Advisor for the UC Davis Summer Abroad programs.  I look forward to helping you find the best study abroad program for you. Time to get your passport ready!
