A Message to Students and Parents
I am delighted to lead this exciting educational program to share both my professional and personal cultural experiences with our students on what may be their first international travel experience. The modern world is greatly interconnected leaders of tomorrow need to be culturally competent in order to be part of the solution to the complex global challenges. I have experience leading study abroad programs in the field of One Health. One Health is defined as collaborations between various disciplines and professions in order to archive optimum health for people, animals, plants and the ecosystem. In this course you will be exposed to how this principle is working on the ground in Rwanda and how it ties in with the United Nations Sustainable Development goals. All the while, you will be exposed to the rich Rwandan culture. When you are done, it is an experience you will never forget and you will be well prepared for transdisciplinary collaborations locally and globally. Parents, we now live in a global village. This is even more true for future generations. As you invest in the future of your child, rest assured that investing in this program abroad will pay off handsomely for your student and family."
