Summer Abroad Netherlands - On Site

The Sustainable Urban Systems program offers shared accommodations in hostels, provided breakfasts and some group dinners, daily field trips exploring sustainable cities and engineering marvels, and opportunities for students to explore Dutch culture and landscapes during free time, while emphasizing the risks and benefits of studying abroad through UC Davis.

Summer Abroad Netherlands - Travel

The Sustainable Urban Systems program includes pre-departure and on-site orientations, requires students to arrange their own travel, provides metro passes for program activities, requires a valid passport for entry (with additional visa requirements for non-U.S. citizens), and enrolls participants in GeoBlue Global Health Insurance for the duration of the program, while students are encouraged to review entry requirements and consult the U.S. Department of State for travel information.

Summer Abroad Netherlands - Cost

The Sustainable Urban Systems program's fees cover accommodations, breakfast, some group meals, program tours, transportation, and health insurance, while additional expenses such as airfare, non-program meals, personal travel, and emergency costs are the student's responsibility; financial aid is available, but final costs are subject to change.
