Matt Oliver, a former jet mechanic and small business owner, began teaching at Old Dominion University in 2003 before moving to UC Davis in 2014, where he teaches writing courses in engineering, science, and technical fields, and has also consulted for organizations like the Department of Defense and California Department of Fish and Wildlife.

Computer Science

Each UC Davis Summer Abroad Internship program pairs UC Davis Study Abroad with a partner organization that manages the personalized internship placements; arranges accommodations and excursions; leads onsite orientations and optional social events; and provides 24/7 emergency support. As part of the placement process for Summer Abroad Internships, participants will first enroll through UC Davis Study Abroad and then complete a supplemental application for the partner organization associated with their particular Summer Abroad Internship program.

Summer Abroad Thailand - Cost

The program fees cover lodging, select meals, transportation, and excursions, while personal expenses like airfare, entertainment, and medical emergencies are not included, with financial aid available for eligible students.

The UC Davis "One Health Uganda" program provides hotel accommodations and all meals, includes excursions to wildlife conservation centers and national parks, and focuses on the interconnectedness of human, livestock, and wildlife health through hands-on learning experiences across various locations in Uganda, all while ensuring participants understand the associated risks of studying abroad.

Summer Abroad Uganda - Cost

The UC Davis "One Health Uganda" program allows eligible students to use financial aid towards program costs, which include lodging, meals, transportation for excursions, entrance fees, and health insurance, though specific fee amounts are to be determined and do not cover personal expenses like airfare or entertainment.
